Kanye West and Taylor Swift have finally been nominated for the same award at the Grammys

Nobody can accuse the Recording Academy of missing out on dramatic event. The Recording Academy has added Taylor Swift and Kanye West to the 2019 Grammy Awards line-up, the first time the two have been nominated in the same year.

Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” is up for album of the year, but West’s “Ye” is also nominated for all the major categories.

Emeli Sande, Ariana Grande, and Kacey Musgraves have all been nominated for Song of the Year for their collaborations on “No Tears Left to Cry” by Alessia Cara, “God Is a Woman” by Nicki Minaj, and “Til It Happens to You” by Lady Gaga and Diane Warren, respectively.

Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino tied with 10 nods each. Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble,” “Loyalty” with Rihanna, and “King’s Dead” with Jay-Z (not to mention his lead album of the year nod) are his three nominations for record of the year, alongside Jay-Z’s “4:44,” Logic’s “1-800-273-8255,” and Beck’s “Colors.”

Childish Gambino and Janelle Monae are nominated for album of the year, and Gambino’s “Awaken, My Love!” and Monae’s “Dirty Computer” are up for song of the year.

Drake, Jay-Z, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, and Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” Logic’s “1-800-273-8255,” the “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” by Shawn Mendes, and Cardi B’s “I Like It” are the five most-nominated songs for song of the year.

So far, Adele has won the most Grammy Awards in her career, with 21, 24, and 25 receiving an astounding 21, 24, and 25 wins.

The 2019 Grammy Awards will be held on Feb. 10, 2019, at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
