Thieves smashed their way into an Apple store at a shopping mall in northern Los Angeles Friday, making off with at least six MacBook computers worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, police said.

Some of the computers appeared to have been damaged in the burglary, at Westfield Century City Shopping Mall, Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Peter Sanders said. The store was closed at the time.

Video of the break-in obtained by CNN affiliate KTLA showed a large amount of glass shattered on the ground outside the store. Evidence markers were laid down on the sidewalk next to shattered iPad displays and glass containers that had been left open.

The break-in comes just more than a week after a robbers smashed a window and grabbed dozens of Louis Vuitton handbags and other luxury items from Apple’s flagship store in Paris.

In October, thieves ransacked an Apple store in the Philippines and made off with several dozen iPhones and iPads.
